Senior Manager, Nurse Educator Programs

Our client specialty pharmaceuticals leader. They have asked us to assist them in their search for a Senior Manager, Nurse Educator Programs.

Major tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Develops and evolves the Nurse Programs for in-line and pipeline products to a more streamlined approach.
  • Evaluates patient and caregiver needs, suggests solutions to meet those needs, and implements agreed upon changes and processes.
  • Provides support to a variety of nursing programs.
  • Provides regular status updates to the Leadership team and steering committee, as needed.
  • Evaluates and monitors compliance with defined and documented processes, which involves regular cross-functional collaboration on process changes, as well as call monitoring, and organization/oversight of third-party audits.
  • Conducts quality audits to ensure adherence to processes.
  • Participates in regular and continuous quality improvement activities with the hub team.
  • Works in collaboration with hub management to address identified process gaps or weaknesses and streamline processes that touch the patient experience.
  • Identifies best practices and works to ensure those best practices are shared and utilized across all teams.
  • Assesses and monitors customer service skills of Nurse Representatives, provides feedback to company management, and assists with coordinating training in this area. 
  • Suggests process improvement measures that can be implemented to further refine processes, then drives implementation of those measures.
  • Reviews and monitors daily metrics and discusses with the company and hub management regularly.
  • Provides weekly summary of findings and feedback to leadership of trends identified, wins and opportunities, as well as plans to address findings.
  • Provides support in addressing and resolving case issues related to insurance, facility challenges, copay assistance and order scheduling, as needed.
  • Coordinates communication and fosters a collaborative team approach between hub and Nurse Team to ensure optimized communication and partnership to best support patients.
  • Writes, maintains and seeks approval on all program related Standard Operating Procedures, Job Aides, etc.

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Requires an RN-BSN or greater.
  • Must have a minimum of 10+ years of specialty pharmaceutical experience with a specialty pharmacy and/or biotech/specialty pharmaceutical manufacturer.
  • Requires Nurse Program Management and oversight experience.
  • Must have experience working with multiple Marketing teams.
  • Requires solid understanding of Nurse Program compliance and regulatory guardrails.  
  • Experience managing large teams and managing management personnel is required, as is project management experience. 
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Must be willing to travel 25-50%, and work long and/or irregular work hours as necessary. 
  • Must be able to coordinate large projects with multiple stakeholders, embrace change and perform well while managing through it.
