Director, Program Management

Our client is an immuno-oncology company developing next-generation antibody therapies. We have been asked to identify candidates for their Director, Program Management.

Major tasks and responsibilities will include

  • Provides operational leadership.
  • Establishes processes to execute on the overall program strategy.
  • Develops and maintains integrated program level timeline tracking key cross-functional deliverables.
  • Drives PDT objective setting and tracks overall program progress.
  • Leads risk management and mitigation planning that may impact program timelines.
  • Identifies workflow challenges and makes recommendations for improved processes.
  • Leads PDT meetings, provides status reports, creates agendas and ensures accountability.
  • Contributes to the establishment of effective sub-team structure and function.
  • Ensures effective communication within the team and to key internal and external stakeholders/governance.
  • Collaborates with finance in defining budget and aligning on Long Range Plan (LRP) models.
  • Manages development activities with external strategic partners.
  • Fosters team building through a culture of mentoring and coaching more junior PDT members.
  • Builds strong relationships with team members to create an environment of mutual respect, trust, and delivery of exceptional results.
  • Assists with creation and maintenance of web-based program team pages (SharePoint) and broader communication tools to executive leadership.

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree highly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Requires experience in a successful biotherapeutic program from IND submission through clinical development.
  • Must have solid knowledge of oncology or cancer immunotherapy drug development process and principles.
  • Requires strong presentation skills to audiences of all levels and technical abilities.
  • Solid understanding of the applications, principles, concepts, practices, and standards of pharmaceutical project management required.
