Associate Director, Marketing - Immunology

Our client is a global pharmaceutical company. They have asked us to assist them in their search for an Associate Director, Marketing - Immunology.

The Associate Director, Marketing for Immunology will be responsible for the development, implementation and execution of brand strategy, marketing mix and plans that optimize sales, market share and revenue growth for the brand.

Major tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Develops, implements, and executes tactical brand strategy.
  • Supports development and advancement of HCP creative messaging and marketing campaign.
  • Leads development and execution of personal promotion, sales training efforts, non-personal promotion, and market access tactics.
  • Collaborates with Sales leadership/Sales team and Regional Marketers to ensure alignment.
  • Leads strategic preparations and launch of new indications.
  • Monitors product performance, competitive environment, and customer base.
  • Manages ROI assessments of tactical programs.
  • Identifies plan changes, cost savings, and develops business case to improve brand value.
  • Leads interactions with extended brand team members.
  • Provides strategic direction to professional agencies to optimize marketing mix in order to balance return on investment and impact to brand.
  • Ensures compliance with finance/budgeting procedures and company policies/procedures.

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or biological science with a concentration in marketing required. Master’s degree highly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical operational marketing experience focused on product/brand management including customer facing/sales experience.
  • The ability to analyze and interpret large amounts of complex market and financial data.
  • Requires strong written and oral communication skills to shape and articulate a clear strategy.
  • Must have excellent business and commercial acumen.
  • The proven ability to understand, track, analyze and leverage customer and marketplace insights into building effective marketing strategies and business plans.
  • Must have demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams.
  • Requires experience establishing and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders and influencers.
  • The ability to use analytical skills and critical thinking to diagnosis business issues and appropriately incorporate into marketing plans for business results in a self-directed manner.
  • Experience in rare disease and/or biologics highly preferred.
