Director, Corporate Brand and Digital Communications

Our client is a rapidly growing, specialty biopharmaceutical company.  They have asked us to assist them in their search for a Director, Corporate Brand and Digital Communications.

The Director, Corporate Brand and Digital Communications will lead creative, digital and social media initiatives to position the Company as a respected, innovative and competitive biopharmaceutical industry leader.  The incumbent will set strategy and drive compelling content that reinforces the brand identity throughout corporate channels.

Major tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Elevates the Company’s stakeholder experience and engagement by integrating best-practice tools, techniques and practices and collaborating with Corporate Communications and product brand team leads, HR and other functions.
  • Guides the development, design and execution of strategic communications that advance the corporate brand promise and reputation to external and internal audiences.
  • Interacts with and enhances relationships with stakeholder communities, adhering to company and industry standards.
  • Contributes to and executes a brand communication strategy supporting corporate objectives, mission and message.
  • Develops annual work plan and ensures effective day-to-day and long-term management of corporate brand assets across all channels.
  • Liaises with parent company and subsidiary companies to drive brand alignment globally.
  • Partners with communications, IT, and agency leads to drive advancement of digital platform, social media properties and intranet, and develop engaging digital content including graphics, video and print materials.
  • Conducts social listening, establishes metrics and prepares analytical reports to demonstrate success in social media.
  • Manages and supports employee news and information flow on intranet and other internal publishing activities.
  • Oversees freelance graphic design, writing and other communications professionals.
  • Manages assigned budget and ensures effective usage of department and corporate resources to maximize return on investment.

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (major in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or Advertising/Public Relations a plus).
  • 5-7 years of experience in areas of corporate branding, integrated communications, digital marketing and social media.
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience with primary social platforms (e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube), new/emerging tools and digital strategies.
  • Strong writing proficiency and interpersonal skills, including an understanding of cultural differences.
  • Global business and life science or other regulated industry experience desirable.
  • Proficient in managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Self-starter, team contributor, independent performer.
  • Proven ability to implement new concepts and communication vehicles, and deliver results.
  • Demonstrated experience with web technology, platforms, tools, intranets, graphic editing and video applications.
