Our client is a major global healthcare company.  They have asked us to assist them in their search for a Manager, Business Insights & Analytics.

The Manager, Business Insights & Analytics is responsible for providing a high level of evidence-based, strategic guidance for brand and senior management on assigned brands and therapeutic areas.  Through the execution of primary and secondary market research, competitive intelligence and business analyses, the Manager will ensure that marketing and business decision-making is supported by timely, accurate and cost-effective data and analysis.  The Manager also maintains a vigilant watch over the health of his/her assigned brands, alerting brand management and corporate executives of emerging opportunities and threats, as discerned through insightful integration of the array of marketplace data, primary research and competitive intelligence at his/her disposal.  This individual will play a critical role as a respected partner to the Brand team, as he/she is a participant in all discussions on assigned brand and therapeutic market strategy development.

Major tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Guides primary and secondary market research design, execution and reporting for a portfolio of Brands.
  • Uses research findings (primary and secondary) to help guide Brand business decisions in support of annual objectives.
  • Serves as a consultative, trusted advisor to Brand leadership by providing fresh insights based on facts and data gained through primary and secondary research.
  • Manages third party relationships, including project scoping and design, discussion guide/survey development, respondent identification and recruitment, and implementation.
  • Distills research findings into meaningful and actionable insights that will help achieve brand objectives.

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced business or scientific degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of a combination of Management Consulting, Market Research, Business Analytics, Project Management, and Marketing within a pharmaceutical, healthcare and/or bio-tech industry is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of direct primary and secondary market research, competitive intelligence and the development of business insights is required.
